This Privacy Policy describes how Claudy ("the App"), developed by Mark Gravely ("we", "us", or "our"), handles your information. We believe in minimal data collection and local-first design.
We do not collect, store, or have access to:
Any Claude API credentials you provide to the App are stored exclusively in macOS Keychain on your local device. They are never transmitted to our servers — we have no servers that receive them.
All API calls to Anthropic's Claude are made directly from your device to Anthropic's servers.
When you purchase Claudy, the transaction is processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), who acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle collects the billing and payment information necessary to complete your purchase and issue a license.
We receive only a license record (a license key and associated email address) from Paddle. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Paddle's handling of your data is governed by Paddle's Privacy Policy.
When you activate Claudy with a license key, the App may contact Paddle's licensing servers to validate the key. This request includes your license key and is necessary to confirm entitlement. No other personal data is sent during this check.
Anthropic: Your use of Claude via the App is subject to Anthropic's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Anthropic processes your API requests and may retain them according to their policies.
Community Plugins: The Claudy Marketplace hosts community-contributed plugins (Skills, MCPs, Commands). Plugins you install may connect to external services. Review the permissions and source of any plugin before installing it.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
